We like to say, wide-open spaces equal wide-open futures.The RoleThe School invites applications from Library/Information Technicians for an opportunity to perform a key role in maintaining and supporting the daily operations of the School’s Information and Learning Centre which plays a crucial role in developing students who are equipped for lifelong learning. As a key member of a small team, the Technician will provide innovative provision of information services and learning resources to students and staff. The Technician also promotes a positive, welcoming and dynamic environment in the Centre, where students and staff are stimulated by a creative and productive space.This is a permanent role that works part-time during school terms. Hours consist of four days per week, 11am to 4.45pm and one day per week, 8.15am to 4.45pm. There may be additional work available supporting our Information Technology team (including non-term time), if an applicant is interested and possesses suitable aptitude.For more information regarding this position, please refer to the Position Description below.The PersonAre you very customer service focused and passionate about actively contributing to the next generation's learning environment?Do you possess:Advanced digital literacy skills in general, including MS Office, as well as library-specific technologies;Relevant experience guiding users in the provision of online and physical resources;A creative mind for displays and design;Excellent communication skills (with staff, parents and students) with strong attention to detail and literacy;Excellent administration, organisation and implementation skills;Friendliness, enthusiasm, energy and a confident approach when interacting with students; andDemonstrated integrity and an ability to build and maintain relationships and networks while enhancing the School’s values and culture?A formal Australian recognised library technician qualification is also preferred and whilst experience in a busy library or school will be of benefit, recent graduates are invited to apply.Employment Conditions and BenefitsPart-time, school term time only.
