Live-in Boarding Team Member

We like to say, wide-open spaces equal wide-open futures. The Role We have an exciting opportunity to live on-campus and gain an amazing experience living and working with our Boarding community. If you are energetic, personable and would enjoy the opportunity to work with staff who are engaging, innovative and committed to helping our students be ready for the world, please read on. As a live-in Boarding Supervisor you will join a vibrant Boarding community. We currently have four boarding houses. Each house is occupied by a Head of Boarding House and their family, 20-30 residential students, and supported by other residential staff.  In this role you would provide support in the effective day-to-day operation of a Boarding House and lead and supervise students when attending activities and outings. The position plays a significant part in the pastoral care of students in the boarding house.   This role is also ideal for someone who has recently completed university study or are studying a related discipline and looking for complementary part-time work. We offer your own room and a neighbouring larger space for on-site staff to utilise for break-away time. Other benefits include internet, most meals and utilities provided for. A minimum term of 6-months is required, preferably 12-18 months. Hours of work are typically 40-50 hours per fortnight, during each school term.  We provide flexibility to continue with study or other employment. An example roster for a fortnight could be six mornings from 7.00 am - 8.45 am and four evenings or weekend day shifts. Just imagine having your accommodation and most living expenses covered; earning 15K+ plus for the year (adult rate); have school holidays off; and the opportunity to be a part of an awesome ‘village’ in a rural part of Albany. For a more detailed position overview, please refer to the position description below. The Person Our ideal candidate will be: able to demonstrate relevant experience supporting adolescent boys and/or girls.
