For example:assisting to deliver the annual program of worksassisting with grounds and gardens maintenancegeneral maintenance and minor repair workshelp with set up/down of furniture, equipment etc for events and activitiesA more detailed position overview can be found in the Position Description below.The PersonOur ideal applicant will:be friendly, approachable and committed to providing customer focussed maintenance of buildings, grounds, gardens and facilities;have sound experience in the effective and safe use of a range of grounds and maintenance equipment;have knowledge in the use and application of pesticides, fungicides and fertilisers;have knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health principles in relation to manual handling and work safe practices, with a commitment to applying them;be able to meet the physical demands of the role;have the ability to display personal attributes of honesty, initiative, flexibility, common sense and punctuality; andbe able to obtain a Working with Children Check; National Police Clearance; and a First Aid Certificate.Possession of a relevant trade certificate would be highly regarded.Employment Conditions and BenefitsPermanent, 1.0FTE, includes working through school holiday periodsHours of work are currently 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
